Terms of Service

Last updated: October 24, 2025

These Terms describe the conditions under which you may access and use the MyCareCost transparency platform. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyCareCost you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

MyCareCost aggregates public hospital price transparency files to highlight pricing variation and compliance status. The Service does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. Eligibility and Account Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of any information submitted and for safeguarding credentials.

4. Use of Data

You may use information from the Service for personal, internal business, advocacy, or compliance purposes. You may not sell, sublicense, or commercialize the data without written consent, nor use automated tools that degrade the Service.

5. Submitted Content

When you submit corrections, partner requests, or other materials you represent that you have the right to share the content and grant MyCareCost a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to operate the Service.

6. Compliance Insights

Compliance scores and alerts are informational and based on publicly accessible information. They do not replace official CMS determinations. Always verify findings with primary sources.

7. Third-Party Links

The Service may include links to third-party sites. MyCareCost is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those properties.

8. Affiliate & Referral Disclosure

Some outbound links may be referral links or otherwise tracked so MyCareCost can measure usage and potentially earn revenue. These links may direct you to third-party websites (for example, provider websites, scheduling, directions, or phone). MyCareCost does not control third-party services and does not guarantee pricing, availability, or outcomes.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyCareCost will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyCareCost, its contributors, and affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
